Pojoaque Pueblo in New Mexico is opening a new gallery to showcase the works of Native artists.
The gallery will exclusively feature the works of artists who belong to the Southwest Association of Indian
Arts. About 100 artists will be represented.
The gallery will be located in the tribe's new Buffalo Thunder
Resort and Casino, which opens August 12. The arrangement with SWAIA is separate from the tribe's sponsorship of the annual Santa Fe Indian Market, which takes place August 23-24.
