A new report from the Environmental Protection Agency warns of the health risks of global warming and climate change.
The report warns of an increase in deaths due to rising temperatures, more powerful hurricanes, dwindling water supplies and an increase in communicable diseases.
"We . . . anticipate substantial human health impacts," the EPA said.
The Bush administration has resisted attempts to use existing laws to address the impacts of climate change.
