The 48th annual World Eskimo-Indian Olympics opened in Fairbanks, Alaska, on Wednesday.
The event returned to Fairbanks after taking place in Anchorage last year. Participants compete in the ear pull, the high kick, the toe kick and other "show-stoppers," The Fairbanks Daily News Miner said in an editorial.
