The Intercultural Leadership Initiative of Wisconsin has been named a finalist in the Harvard
University Honoring Nations program.
The ILI, which promotes cultural tolerance and Indian leadership, was selected among 160 applicants for the award. The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians nominated the non-profit organization.
The program was among 10 finalists for the award, which comes with a grant of either $10,000 or $20,000. Final award amounts will be announced later this year.
