Citizen Potawatomi Nation re-elects legislators
Voters of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation of Oklahoma re-elected two members of the tribe's legislative body. Paul Wesselhoft, who also serves in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and Paul Schmidlkofer defeated their challengers in an election over the weekend. The tribe created the 16-member legislature last year to replace the five-member business committee. The legislature represents tribal members who live across the U.S., not just Oklahoma.
