The Miccosukee Tribe of Florida filed suit against the Department of Transportation to stop the relocation of a highway in the Everglades National Park.
The tribe says the department failed to consider the environmental impacts of the project. Plans call for a one-mile section of the Tamiami Trail to be relocated into the park.
The tribe is based in the Everglades.
