Workers end strike at mine near Crow Reservation
Workers at a coal mine near the Crow Reservation in Montana ended their strike on Monday after accepting a new employment contract. The 125 workers, who are represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers, walked out on June 7. Most of them are members of the Crow Tribe. The workers received a raise in pay equivalent to those of a nearby mine, whose resources are leased from the tribe by Westmoreland Coal Co. Get the Story:
