Montana Democrats are sending five Native delegates to the Democratic National Convention in August.
Out of 24 delegates from the state, five represent tribes. One of them, state Rep. Margaret Campbell (Fort Peck), is a supedelegate.
The other delegates are: Laura McGee (Blackfeet), Ryan Rustch (Fort Peck), Jason Smith (Salish-Kootenai) and Anna Whiting-Sorrell (Salish-Kootenai).
In addition to the five Native delegates, state Rep. Carol Juneau (Mandan/Hidatsa/Arikara) will attend the convention. She is on the DNC's credentials committee.
The convention takes place 25-28, 2008, in Denver, Colorado.
