The House Oversight and
Government Reform Committee meets today to consider its report on convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
The report looked at contacts between the White House and Abramoff's lobbying team. It found that the Bush administration understated the extent of Abramoff's influence.
The committee also looked at a $16.9 million Department of Justice grant that was awarded to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw
Indians, who were Abramoff's biggest client. The report was unable to draw firm conclusions due to lack of information.
The business meeting takes place at 10am.
