Residents of a remote community on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota were forced to evacuate after heavy rains and floods.
The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe bused residents to two shelters last week. Residents have since returned to their homes but more rain could be on the way.
Gov. Mike Rounds (R) met with tribal leaders on Monday to assess the damage. Rounds has issued an emergency declaration for the state.
