Santee Wells, a 15-year-old from the Prairie Island Indian Community of Minnesota, dropped 106 pounds at a weight-loss boarding school, The Washington Post reports.
Wells enrolled at the Wellspring Academy in North Carolina. He lost the weight over a seven-month period and learned that he had gallbladder disease.
Wells underwent surgery for the disease, which is linked to rapid weight loss.
