The Senate Indian Affairs Committee is holding an oversight hearing on self-governance on Tuesday.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of self-governance legislation. Since then, more than 300 tribes have taken greater control of programs at the Indian Health Service and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
The hearing takes place at 2:30pm in Room 562 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. A witness list is not yet available.
In other committee news, the contract health services hearing that was scheduled for this Thursday has been postponed.
