A prominent attorney was released on $250,000 bond after being arraigned for a drunken driving incident that killed a man from San Felipe Pueblo in New Mexico.
Carlos William Fierro, 36, failed three field sobriety tests, a prosecutor said in court. He also initially denied having any drinks when police pulled him over in the early morning hours of November 26.
Fierro is charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident for the death of
Robert Tenorio, 46. A large group of his family and friends attended the arraignment yesterday.
"I knew we had a lot of support," his daughter Dianna Tenorio told The Albuquerque Journal. "My dad has many friends ... This is making things a little easier."
