Hualapai Tribe removes business directors
The Hualapai Tribe has fired most of the directors at its two economic development corporations, The Arizona Republic reports. Among those removed were Ted Quasula, a tribal member and former U.S. Marshal. He said he has no idea why he was fired. "I'm asking why, and nobody's been able to give me an explanation. ... Political payback or personal vendetta is the best I can figure out," Quasula told the paper. The dispute affects SNW Corp., which operates the Grand Canyon Skywalk. The tribe has stopped construction on a visitors' center at the tourist attraction. Get the Story:
