Settlement reached over Red Lake school shootings
A settlement has been reached in a lawsuit over the shootings at a public school on the Red Lake Nation in Minnesota.

Seven students, teachers and staff were killed at the school on March 21, 2005. The families of the victims sued the company that was hired by the school district to come up with crisis plans.

Terms of the settlement weren't disclosed. A lawsuit against the school district was settled for $1 million.

The shooter in the incident was 16-year-old Jeffrey Weise, who also shot and killed his grandfather and his grandfather’s girlfriend before turning the gun on himself.
