Recall election set for Indian sheriff in Montana
Lawrence "Pete" Big Hair, a member of the Crow Tribe of Montana, will learn his fate as Big Horn County sheriff on November 4. Big Hair faces a slew of allegations related to his job performance. Residents say he is incompetent, hired unqualified people and violated a code of ethics. Big Hair, who has not commented about the recall, is reportedly under investigation by the Montana Department of Justice, The Billings Gazette reported. He was arrested on domestic violence charges in Crow tribal court in June. Get the Story:
