
The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin is working with a local public school district to increase the number of Indian teachers. Forest Funmaker, the tribe's education director, hopes the program will increase the number of Ho-Chunk language teachers. A proposal is being sent to the state Department of Public Instruction for consideration.
