Actor Danny Glover will take part in a discussion on Freedmen issues at the Congressional Black Caucus
Foundation's annual leadership conference in Washington, D.C.
Other participants include Marilyn Vann, the plaintiff in a lawsuit involving the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, and Joe Byrd, a former Cherokee chief. Allen Mitchell, a Creek Freedmen advocate, is also on the panel.
Rep. Diane E. Watson (D-California) and Rep. John Conyers (D-Michigan) are hosting the panel, which takes place at 1pm in Room 145B of the Washington Convention Center.
