UTTC president to speak at Democratic convention
David Gipp, the president of United Tribes Technical College in North Dakota, will speak at the Democratic National
Convention next week.
Gipp, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, is scheduled to address delegates on Tuesday, August 26, between 3:00 and 3:30pm, MDT. He is one of several speakers who will talk about the theme “Renewing America’s Promise.”
“I consider it an honor to be selected,” said Gipp. “It’s uncommon to have access to this kind of audience for expressing a tribal viewpoint. It says something about change in America.”
The convention takes place August 25-28 in Denver.
