The Osage Nation of Oklahoma is hosting a forum to discuss its trust fund lawsuits.
The tribe is suing the federal government in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims for breach of trust. A lawsuit for an historical accounting,
similar to the Cobell case, is pending in the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C..
The tribe is also seeking to intervene in the Cobell case to assert ownership of the mineral trust on its reservation. The tribe says neither the Cobell plaintiffs nor the federal
government can represent its interests.
The forum takes place tonight in Pawhuska.
