The Senate Indian Affairs
Committee will hold a hearing this Thursday, July 31, on mismanagement at the Indian Health Service.
A July 21 report from the Government Accountability
Office said the IHS lost $15.9 million in property and wasted millions on equipment that employees don't use. Investigators said the IHS tried to obstruct the probe and fabricated documents to cover up the losses.
The hearing will take place at 9:30am in Room 562 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. A witness list hasn't been released.
