Montana, Wyoming tribes awarded $5.6M grant


Tribes in Montana and Wyoming will share a $5.6 million grant to help people obtain drug and alcohol treatment.

The Montana-Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council won the grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The money will be used to fund Rocky Mountain Tribal Access to Recovery, a new program help tribal members receive treatment for methamphetamine and other substances.

SAMHSA Administrator Terry Cline traveled to Billings, Montana, on Monday to present the check to the tribal council.
