The Bureau of Indian Affairs is publishing notice of a decision to take 40 acres in trust for the Fond du Lac Band of Chippewa Indians of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe.
The decision was made by the superintendent of the Minnesota Agency. The acquisition apparently doesn't involve gaming so it was not sent to Washington, D.C., for final review.
The BIA says the decision becomes final within 30 days of publication in local newspapers. It's not clear whether the notice will appear in the Federal Register.
