Irene Folstrom, a member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, has dropped her campaign for the Minnesota House.
Folstrom was seeking the Democratic nomination for the House 4A seat. The district includes the Leech Lake Reservation.
But less than a month after entering the race, Folstrom said she wanted to spend more time with her family and become more involved with her community. Folstrom used to work for the National Congress of American Indians in Washington, D.C.
