Arrests made at Yankton Sioux protest of hog farm

South Dakota state police made a handful of arrests at a protest by the Yankton Sioux Tribe.

Tribal members are opposing a hog farm in Charles Mix County. They are blocking a Bureau of Indian Affairs road that provides the only means of access to the site.

Several people were arrested or detained on Tuesday. But Gov. Mike Rounds (R) said only one person was actually charged.

About 150 people took part in the protest, which attorney general Larry Long described as peaceful.
