Ex-Comanche police chief pleads to theft

The former police chief of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $12,000 from the tribe.

Ray Anderson, 55, faces a five-year prison term and a $250,000 fine. He resigned his job from the tribe under an agreement with federal prosecutors.

Anderson was authorized to set up a bank account for law enforcement purposes. He instead used the money for other purposes, authorities said.
