House Resources field hearing next week in Oklahoma

The House Natural Resources Committee is holding a field hearing next Wednesday, February 20, in Oklahoma.

The hearing is titled "Oklahoma Indian Issues: Proposed Regulations Governing Economic Development." It takes place at Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College in Miami.

Rep. Dan Boren (D-Oklahoma), a member of the committee, requested the hearing, The Oklahoman reported. He wants to discuss the effect of pending National Indian Gaming Commission regulations on Oklahoma tribes.

The witness list is to be announced.
