A Navajo student at the University of Arizona died after being stabbed 23 times, according to an autopsy.
Mia Henderson, 18, died on September 5. Authorities say her roommate, Galareka Harrison, 18 and also Navajo, stabbed Henderson while she slept.
To cover up the crime, authorities say Harrison wrote a fake suicide note for Henderson. The roommates had been at odds over theft accusations.
Harrison was charged with first-degree murder and is being held on $500,000 bond.
