Salt River Tribe starts work on medical complex

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community of Arizona began construction on a $43 million medical complex.

The Pima Medical Pavilion will be the first medical complex on the reservation. It will serve the tribe and the surrounding community, including Scottsdale.

Currently, the only other source of health care on the reservation is the Indian Health Service.
