Quinault teen's manslaughter trial moved to October

Sela Anne Kalama, a 19-year-old member of the Quinault Nation of Washington, faces a trial October 9 for a car crash that left two tribal teens dead.

Kalama was driving a car that plunged into the Elwha River on the Lower Elwha Klallam Reservation. Two teens -- Vanna K. Francis, a 17-year-old member of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, and Ronnie L. Scroggins, a 15-year-old member of the Makah Nation -- died.

Kalama reportedly admitted drinking 14 and 16 cans of beer before getting behind the wheel. She was reportedly using her cell phone while driving when the accident occurred in the early morning hours of March 18.
