FBI and IRS agents raided the Alaska home of Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) on Monday.
Authorities declined to reveal details about the search. The Anchorage Daily News said agents could be seen taking photographs and videos of the home's exterior and surrounding property.
The house, in Girdwood, plays a role in a federal investigation involving Stevens. A major oil services firm called Veco arranged for some improvements to be done on the home, though Stevens said he paid every bill that was sent to him.
Two former VECO executives have pleaded guilty to bribery and fraud in a corruption scandal affecting the Alaska Legislature. Sen. Stevens' son, Ben Stevens, a former Republican leader, has been implicated.
