More than a dozen current or former members of Congress are under federal investigation, The New York Times reports.
Several lawmakers have ties to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff. They include: Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Florida), Rep. John Doolittle (R-California), former Sen. Conrad Burns (R-Montana), former Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Texas) and former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-Arizona). Former Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio) is already in prison for his role in the Abramoff scandal.
Two more have ties to a military contractor accused of bribery. They include Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-California) and former Rep. Duke Cunningham (R-California), who pleaded guilty. Doolittle is also linked to Wilkes.
Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska) and Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) have ties to an oil company in Alaska.
Rep. Rick Renzi (R-Arizona) faces questions over a land deal that is opposed by Apache tribes.
Two Democrats make the list. Rep. William Jefferson (D-Louisiana) has been indicted for accepting bribes. Rep. Alan Mollohan (D-West Virginia) is facing questions over earmarks.
Finally, there's former Rep. Mark Foley (R-California), who resigned last fall after sexually explicit messages between him and a former Congressional page were made public. He's still being investigated by the FBI.
