Thirteen scholars from the Morris K. Udall Foundation are on a two-month bus tour to learn about environmental and Indian issues.
The Udall Legacy Bus Tour started in Washington, D.C., on 12 and ends in Tucson, Arizona, on August 4.
The tour includes stops at six tribal communities.
On Tuesday, the scholars visited Haskell Indian Nations University. The group learned more about the history of the school and the Baker Wetlands, where some former Haskell students are buried.
In the next month, the tour will visit the Flathead Reservation in Montana and the Grand Ronde Reservation in Oregon.
