A diverse group turned out to honor Lillian "Sunshine" Wright, a Lakota woman who was murdered in Tucson, Arizona.
Wright was a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe in South Dakota. She was found murdered on June 12 but police have not released a cause of death or named a suspect.
Friends remembered Sushine as a warm and loving person. She preferred to live on the streets even though she had enough money to live elsewhere.
Even her sister, Sylvia Konop, didn't know Sunshine was homeless. "I don't think she liked to be tied down. I think she just wanted to be free," she said, The Arizona Daily Star reported.
Sunshine will be buried in Tucson.
