Sen. Tim Johnson (D-South Dakota) plans to return to work this September, Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nevada) said.
Johnson suffered a brain hemorrhage in December and has been undergoing physical therapy and speech therapy. Reid said he was doing "quite well."
Johnson, a member of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, also plans to run for re-election in 2008, said former Sen. Tom Daschle (D-South Dakota).
