The Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians donated $1.5 million to the Capital Unity Center in Sacramento, California.
The tribe's donation puts the center closer to its $20 million goal. The Sacramento Unity Council has raised $8 million so far.
The center will promote inclusion, diversity and dialogue across racial, ethnic, gender and religious lines.
