Darold J. McDade, a member of the Western Shoshone Nation of Nevada, has been nominated to serve on Utah's 4th District Court.
McDade, who grew up in Nevada, currently serves as a section chief in the Child and Family Support Division of the Utah Attorney General's Office. He is a member of the Utah Bar Association, Nevada Indian Bar Association and Navajo Nation Bar Association.
"Darold brings a well-rounded perspective to the bench, with experience in prosecuting civil and criminal cases in juvenile, district, tribal and appellate courts," said Gov. Jon Huntsman (R).
McDade's nomination is subject to Senate confirmation.
