The Bureau of Indian Affairs has delayed its decision on the federal recognition petition of the Juaneno Band of Mission Indians.
The decision was due on or before September 26. But the BIA plans to issue it around November 26.
A leadership dispute has left the tribe in two factions. Each side hired lobbyists in Washington, D.C.
