Lance Morgan, the chief executive officer of Ho-Chunk Inc., the economic development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, was suspended on Wednesday.
Morgan, a tribal member, was suspended by HCI's board of directors after he refused to turn over information the board requested. He said turning over the information would not have been right.
“I would have gotten into more trouble if I would have done it,” Morgan told The Lincoln Journal Star.
Morgan didn't know how long he will be suspended but hoped the issue would be resolved. Another HCI was also suspended.
