The Blackfeet Nation of Montana has approved raises for members of the business council.
Council members used to make $41,000 a year. Now the chairman will earn $65,000 plus benefits, the vice-chairman $64,000, the tribal secretary $63,000 and the remaining six council members will earn $62,000.
The salaries are in line with other council salaries in Montana, according to The Great Falls Tribune.
