New date for Senate hearing on transportation

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee has set a new date for its oversight hearing on transportation issues in Indian Country.

The original June 6 hearing was postponed due to the death of Sen. Craig Thomas (R-Wyoming), who was vice chairman of the committee.

The new date is July 12, after Congress returns from the July 4 recess.

The hearing is the committee's first on transportation during the 110th Congress.
