Jemez Pueblo drum group up for another Grammy


Black Eagle, a drum group from Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico, has been nominated for another Grammy.

The group, compose of 14 members of the Yepa family, has been nominated four times in six years. In 2004, they won the Best Native American Music Album award for "Black Eagle: Flying Free."

Their latest release is "Black Eagle: Voice of the Drum." All the group members plan to attend the Grammy ceremony in Los Angeles on February 11.

The other nominees in the category are: Robert Tree Cody for "Heart of the Wind"; Jana for "American Indian Story"; Northern Cree for "Long Winter Nights" and Mary Youngblood for "Dance With The Wind."
