Mysterious reward offered for stolen Pueblo artifact
Thursday, January 27, 2005
Officials in New Mexico are wary of a $75,000 reward being offered for the return of an 1880s Pueblo kachina that was stolen last month.
An unknown tribe is behind the reward, according to a flier. But state officials say the offer may be a hoax. The FBI is being asked to investigate.
The kachina was taken from the Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos last month.
