The Karuk Tribe of California is seeking public comment on its plans for a Class III gaming facility and hotel.
The first phase includes 36,497 square-foot casino with a 13,800 square-foot gaming floor, 500 game machines, eight table games, a 120 seat restaurant and 556 on-site and off-site parking spaces.
The second phase calls for another 20,000 square-feet for the casino, with space for more gaming machines and a new restaurant. There's also plans for an an 80-room, 48,000 square-foot hotel with another 500 parking spaces.
Comments on the draft tribal environmental impact report are being accepted until December 27.
