The Seminole Tribe shared more than $237 million in gaming revenues with the state of Florida, an increase from expected projections.
The Class III gaming compact promises a minimum payment of $233 million each fiscal year. But since the tribe beat expectations -- revenues were $1.98 billion -- another $4.3 million went to the state.
Revenues are expected to rise 3.5 percent in the coming fiscal year, resulting in another $14 million for the state. For the following year, an extra $22 million is expected.
The compact expires in 2015.
