The city council in Glendale, Arizona, agreed to open gaming talks with the Tohono O'odham Nation.

The city has been fighting the tribe in court and on Capitol Hill. But after years of being on the losing end, leaders are considering a change in position on the proposed West Valley Resort.

"We want to hear what the TO has to offer. The Nation wants to bring jobs," said council member Norma Alvarez, The Glendale Daily News-Sun reported.
