The Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians of Michigan, also known as the Gun Lake Tribe, has started work on a casino expansion project.

The tribe received a permit from the the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a permit to fill in about four acres of wetlands by the Gun Lake Casino. The site will be used for a larger parking lot and a new valet parking area at the facility.

The work will be completed by the end of the year. But the tribe could potentially expand the casino to include a hotel and other amenities.
