The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria in California will open its $800 million casino at 10am on November 5.

The tribe began its quest after being restored to federal recognition through an act of Congress in 2000. Following a lengthy federal and state review process, along with litigation in the federal and state courts, the Graton Resort and Casino is finally ready to welcome visitors.

"Since breaking ground in June 2012, the property has brought significant new local employment opportunities and economic development to Sonoma County and the Greater Bay Area," the tribe said in a press release that announced the opening date.

So far the tribe has hired 805 people and plans to put a total of 2,000 people to work at the casino. Construction has generated 700 jobs, according to the press release.
