The Pechanga Band of Luiseño
Indians in California has started work on a multi-million dollar casino renovation project.
The tribe spent $262 million on the Pechanga Resort & Casino, which opened in June 2002. The project represents the first major upgrades since then.
"The property is now a little over 10 years old and it is time for a renovation of our grand entry and some of the restaurants," Pechanga Development Corporation President Patrick Murphy said in a press release.
The hotel lobby, guest check-in area, VIP check-in lounge, three restaurants and a gift shop are closed during the renovations. The areas will open by the end of the year.
