The United Keetoowah Band
of Cherokee Indians is reportedly discussing gaming options with the Cherokee Nation.
The UKBs must shut down the Keetoowah Cherokee Casino tomorrow because the land isn't in trust.
But the Cherokees have proposed two options that could allow the facility to stay open, either in the current location or at a different one.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs wants to place the UKB casino site in trust but the Cherokees secured a preliminary injunction that bars the acquisition.
